LODGING : Free lodging will be provided from 20-05-2007 to 28-05-2007 to players
and one accompanying official nominated by the concerned State Chess Association
of each state. All other accompanying persons will have to make their own
arrangements for their stay.
ELIGIBILITY :
a) Four players from every affiliated unit and every Institutional Member of the
AICF. If any Association fails to send its full quota, the vacancies so caused
shall not be filled.
b) The top four players from 33rd National Women’s “B” Chess Championship held
at Chennai M.Sai Meera (BSB), Mahima Rajmohan (TN), A.G.Nimmy
( Kerala ) and R.Preethi (TN)
c) The top two rankers from 21st National Junior Girls’ Championship held at New
Delhi: Soumya Swaminathan (MAH) and Mary Ann Gomes (WB)
d) The Champion of the 18th National Under-17 Chess Championship For Girls held
at Calicut : Kiran Monisha Mohanty (ORI)
e) The host Association is entitled to filed two additional players.
f) Current World Champion in any category
g) Top three from the current Asian Women Championship.
h) Current Asian Junior Girls Champion.
i) A nominee of the Secretary, All India Chess Federation.
j) Any player who remits the special entry fee of Rs.2400/-
k) Four players from areas where no State Chess Association exists. Aspiring
players may request (in writing). The Hon. Secretary, All India Chess
Federation.
l) One Additional player nominated by the Host State Association, in the event
of the entries being an odd number.
ENTRIES & ENTRY FEE :
Ordinary: Rs.1,000/- Special: Rs.2,400/- Ex-National “A” player: Rs.1,800/-
There will be 50% concession in entry fee for participants from North Eastern
States and Andaman and Nicobar.
Entries should be received on or before 18.05.2007 by the Organising Secretary

TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS :
The Championship shall be played under the laws of “Chess and FIDE Swiss Rules.
Totally eleven rounds shall be played unless otherwise decided by the Tournament
Committee before the commencement of the Championship. The Time Control is 90
minutes for each player for the entire game with an increment of 30 seconds per
move from move one. Change in these timings or the number of rounds shall be
announced by Tournament Committee. The Top Twenty players will qualify for next
National Women “A”.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Campus.
CHESS CLOCKS : Each participating associations must provide atleast two DGT
chess clocks in working order for every four players entered by them in
Championship.
TIE BREAK : Latest tie breaking rules will be applied.
TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE : A Tournament Committee consisting of the Chief Arbiter,
Hon. Secretary of AICF or his representative, and the Secretary and two members
of the host association shall be constituted before the commencement of the
tournament.
PROTESTS : Protests, if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter, shall be
made in writing with protest fee: of Rs.500/- within one hour of the occurrence
of the incident. The amount shall be refunded if the appeal is upheld.
Players’ registration with AICF compulsory:
All the participants of this 34th National Women “B” Chess Championship must be
registered with AICF. The AICF players’ registration fee is Rs.250/-. The AICF
players’ registration forms will be made available at the venue. Those who are
already registered with AICF must show proof thereof.
APPEALS COMMITTEE: Before the commencement of the Championship a five member
Committee of Appeal with two reserves shall be formed from amongst the senior
participants and officials present at the Managers’ meeting to be held at the
venue on the Inaugural day. All the five members and reserves shall be from
different states. No member of the committee can vote on a dispute in which a
player from his own unit is involved and in such case the reserve member(s)
shall take his / their place in the committee.
DISQUALIFICATION : No participant will leave the venue before the prize
distribution function without the permission of the Chief Arbiter. The
participants disregarding this rule will be suspended for one year.
INTERPRETATION : For interpretation of Rule (s) and deciding any point not
covered by rules, the decision of the tournament committee shall be final and
binding. The tournament committee has every right to make any addition or
amendment to these rules without prior notice. However, such changes will be
displayed at the championship venue.
