Thrissur is the cultural
capital of Kerala. Thrissur is also known as Temple City. There are lot of
famous temples in and around the city. Vadakkunathan Siva temple, Thiruvambady
Krishna temple and Paramekkav Devi temple are the three famous temple in the
city . The famous Thrissur Pooram festival is celebrated connecting all the
above three temples. Famous Guruvayoor Krishna temple
is only 24 km. away from the city. A
number of churches and mosque are also situated in and around city.
Location of tournament hall
is in the heart of the city. This is just walkable distance from Thrissur
Round, Railway station and Transport Bus Stand. Thrissur railway station is a
major station in Kerala. All trains going to Ernakulam ,Aleppy and
Thiruvanathapuram have a stop over at Thrissur station.

Unrated : Rs.800. Rated Less Than 2000 : Rs700

Local players : Rs400
AICF Registration Must for all players. Registration Fee Of Rs250 for 2007-08
should be paid or copy of proof of payment sent along with entry.
CAK Registration : Must for Kerala
players. Registration fee Rs50.
Last date of entry :10th April 2007.
All entry fee should be remitted by a bank draft favoring Chess Association
Thrissur Payable at Thrissur along with the entry form.
Maximum no : of entry is restricted to 300.
Rules : The Tournament will be
played as per latest FIDE Rules.
Clock : Players are requested to bring their own chess clock .
Protest fee : Rs300.Protest should be lodged within 15 minutes of the
incident.
Dates: Arrival on 14th April 4 PM. And Departure on 20th April 6 PM.
LODGING
1.Free for players having Rating above 2300, GM,IM, WGM and IWM.
2.Rs 350 for Rated Players having rating 2000 and above (Sharing Basis)
3.Rs.500 for other Rated players (Sharing Basis)
4.Rs.650 for Unrated players (Sharing Basis)
5.Rs.100 for Dormitory Accommodation(Players must bring their own bedding)
Accompanying persons should find their own accommodation.
6.Accompanying person if in advance (before 1ST April) request we shall
arrange rooms. Rate for single room is rupees around 300 per day and double
room 500 per day .
