World Junior champion Pentyala Harikrishna of Gas Authority of India, Hyderabad won the 12-player round robin tournament with an impressive 8.5/11 score on July 20. The event took place from July 8-20 in China. It was an impressive week for the Indians as Krishnan Sasikiran of ONGC, Chennai won the Benasque Open in the Spanish mountains while Harikrishna won a closed event on the other side of the planet in China.
