Having a rating of 2376, his rating is on the way up. He has become an experienced player travelling from one event to the other without much gap.
One can expect something big from his talent before he moves out of the Junior block. His father J.B.Singh works in Delhi's airport. His parents offer a strong backing. All his norms had come from Open Tournaments and this speaks that he is a worthy achiever in chess. Negi could become the nation's youngest grandmaster as well.
