Further to the eligible players listed in the prospectus, all IM's are seeded to play in the open section and all WIM's are seeded to play in the girls section subject to age limit.   All officially selected Players are requested to report at Tamilnadu State Chess Association office, Room.No.75, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai - 600 003. which is adjacent to The Chennai Central Railway Station for accommodation.

China won the second World Women Team Chess Championship held at Ningbo, China from 1st September to 11th September 2009. India beat America in the final round with a very convincing margin 3-1. But it was the last round of the tournament!
