World Youth Chess Festival, Belfort, France - Four Indian Boys With 4/4

Indian boys impressed and four of them are going strong with four full points at the end of the fourth round in the World Youth Chess Festival happening at Belfort in France on July 22. Sahaj Grover (B-10), N.Srinath and V.A.V.Rajesh (both B-12), Y.Sandeep (G-14) have posted four victories and are in front in their sections. Seven rounds remain to be played in this contest. Sole lead has been established only in the Girls 18 section where Munguntuul of Mongolia is on 4/4.

In the Girls sections, our best performers have already dropped half a point. WGM Dronavalli Harika (G-16) and K.Sai Nirupama (G-10) are on 3.5/4. Deepan Chakravarthy, Parimarjan Negi Sethuraman and Shiven Khosla have recovered after defeats to stay on 3/4 in their respective sections. In the Girls 16 section, Indian joint leader Saheli Nath (3/4) was defeated.
