Mokal, Ravichandran Become FIDE Trainer

Sixteen Indians took part in the FIDE Trainers' Seminar that took place at Delhi from Jan 16-22, 2012.

 

 



Among those who received the coveted FIDE Trainer certificate include Prathamesh Mokal of Pune and V. Ravichandran of Chennai.

The trainers include Serbia's Jovan Petronic, and our own Lanka Ravi of Hyderabad and G.B. Joshi of Delhi.

Among the six players who got the FIDE Instructor was veteran R.S. Tiwari of Delhi who has worked as arbiter in the Bled Olympiad of 2002.

Anuprita Patil of Pune who is to marry Grand Master Magesh Chandran of Madurai early next month also got the FIDE Instructor title.

Besides, three Development Instructor and five National Instructors were also awarded.

This certification offer the Indian chess trainees a wide choice of options of whom to learn the oldest Indian game from.

May 06 2010 - Please be informed that the FIDE has announced that, here after all the rating tournaments should be registered 30 days in advance. We therefore request all the organizers / State chess associations to send their Bidform along with prescribed fee to organize any FIDE rating events, 45 days in advance to All India Chess Federation for onward submission to FIDE and enable us to allot the FIDE  / AICF event code for the event.   Download the Bidform
