As you all are aware, the All
India Chess Federation is very keen in eradicating the overage
players participating in tournaments which are for players below
their age. It has been a crusade against such wrong doers and we
are happy that we have succeeded to a great extent in curbing
this menace.
The All India Chess Federation rules stipulate that a player
desirous of participating in age group tournaments should have
registered his date of birth within one year from the date of
birth of his birth.
The Government of India has also directed all National Chess
Federations to strictly adhere to the stipulation of age and any
one found participating by giving false age, action should be
initiated.
We have come across instances of players not having proper date
of birth certificates. Therefore, it has been decided to give
them a chance to get their date of birth regularized by
undergoing a medical test to determine their age. All those
players who do not have proper records about their date of birth
are hereby directed to avail this opportunity and to inform the
Federation latest by 10.09.2011. The Federation will inform all
such players the place and date of the Medical test through the
website. We once again request all concerned to make use of this
opportunity, because players will not be allowed to participate
in the Nationals with improper records.
