I am very happy
to read from today's news reports that our Indian chess team
performed an excellent job in claiming the Bronze medal in the
World team event. It is indeed a "Pongal" gift from our players
to the dedicated Federation.
As for as I am concerned ,it is really a dream comes true. When
our youth team did extremely well in the past three years, the
Seniors proved they are not lagging behind.
Further, on the spot announcement of reward of 25,000 rupees
each to the members of the team by the Fedetration would go
along way for more successes to come in here after

May 06 2010 - Please be informed that the FIDE has announced that, here after
all the rating tournaments should be registered 30 days in
advance. We therefore request all the organizers / State chess
associations to send their Bidform along with prescribed fee to
organize any FIDE rating events, 45 days in advance to All India
Chess Federation for onward submission to FIDE and enable us to
