Orissa's chess sensation, Padmini Rout is among the four leaders
at the end of the fifth round in the World Junior Chess
Championship for girls being played at Poland.
In the fifth round, Padmini Rout beat untitled Khayala Mardan
Abdulla of Azerbaijan with the black pieces.
Bhakti Kulkarni of Goa drew her fifth round game and is now tied
for the fifth place with four points. Bodda Pratyusha is on two
points.
Parimarjan Negi of Delhi and M.R. Lalith Babu of Andhra won
their fifth round games to move to joint second place on four
points from five rounds in the World Junior Championship which
is taking place in Poland. This event is 13-rounds and runs
until August 16.

Sethuraman 3, Sagar Shah 2.5, Arun Karthik, Ashwin Jayaram 2
each.
Grand Master Dariusz Swiercz of Poland leads with 4.5/5.

advance. We therefore request all the organizers / State chess
associations to send their Bidform along with prescribed fee to
organize any FIDE rating events, 45 days in advance to All India
Chess Federation for onward submission to FIDE and enable us to
