International Master Anna Muzychuk of Slovenia is close to
winning the World Junior girls chess championship after
defeating Bhakti Kulkarni in the eleventh round in Poland on
August 14.
Muzychuk leads with 10/11 and leads by a full point. Two rounds
remain to be played. Olga Girya of Russia is behind on nine
points. Padmini Rout who posted a win is in clear third place
with 8.5 points.
Bodda Pratyusha won with the white pieces and is on 5.5 points
from eleven games.
Top seed Dmitry Andreikin of Russia maintained his lead in the
World Junior win a win to reach 9/11. Negi won to reach seven
points and Sethuraman lost to remain on 6.5 points.
