Kiran Manisha Makes Final WGM Norm
WIM Kiran Manisha Mohanty of Orissa tasted her first success
outside India when she won the 10-player all-play-all by a wide
1.5-point margin. She also completed her 3rd WGM Norm.
She already has two norms from 2007 National Women "A" and 2009
National Women Premier. She has a career best of 2316 ELO
during April 2008 FRL. Once approved by FIDE she will be
India's 13th WGM.
Kiran started as the fifth seed in this Parachute International
at Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh and played at 2422 at near
International Master strength. Dhyani Dhave finished third from
bottom. This contest ran from March 8-14.
