Veteran Pia Cramling of Sweden held World Women's No.2
rated Koneru Humpy to a draw in 22 moves with the white
pieces from a Bogo-Indian defence on June 13. This
meeting took place in the opening round of the 3rd Ruy
Lopez Category 14 (Elo 2595) 8-player all-play-all at
Zafra, in Spain. Zafra is the birth place of Ruy Lopez.
Spanish IM Larino Nieto shocked Michael Adams with a
stunning opening round win. Adams paid the price for
delaying castling.

associations to send their Bidform along with prescribed fee to
organize any FIDE rating events, 45 days in advance to All India
Chess Federation for onward submission to FIDE and enable us to
