Aditya Udeshi

Shalmali Gagare (6) of Maharashtra scored an upset victory over IM Emodi Gyula with White pieces in the 9th round of the Villa De Benasque Chess tournament. J. Sharanya (5.5) of Chennai made a 9 games IWM norm in spite of losing her game with GM Kotronias of Greece from White side of Sicilian Kan opening. R. Bharathi (6) of Chennai was lucky to pocket a full point against IWM Nadia Carolina of Colombia in Sicilian Defence.
 


Pallabi Roy (4.5) and Rucha Pujari (4.5) lost to Fernando Martinez and Vazquez Torres Adrian respectively. In an encounter between two Indians, Shrishti Shetty (4) lost to experienced Devangi Patankar.

In another all Indian affair, Aditya Udeshi (6) overcame stiff resistance from Deepthamesh Reddy (5). K. Priyadarshan (6.5) scored a smooth victory over Garcia Gata Jorge of Spain. Debashish Das (6) had no difficulty to overcome Sanchez Victor of Spain. 12 year old Girish Kaushik (5.5) of Mysore was lucky to emerge the winner against Rodriguez de Castro of Spain. Rakesh Kulkarni (5.5) of Mumbai played well to hold IM Soltanici Ruslan of Moldavia to a draw.

May 06 2010 - Please be informed that the FIDE has announced that, here after all the rating tournaments should be registered 30 days in advance. We therefore request all the organizers / State chess associations to send their Bidform along with prescribed fee to organize any FIDE rating events, 45 days in advance to All India Chess Federation for onward submission to FIDE and enable us to allot the FIDE  / AICF event code for the event.   Download the Bidform
