Gagare (6.5) of Maharashtra held highly rated Debashish
Das (6.5) of Orissa to a draw in Two Knights variation
of Caro Kan Defence in an all Indian affair.
J. Sharanaya (5.5) lost to lowly rated Reyes Linares
with Black pieces of Sicilian Defence. Rucha Pujari
(5.5) of Maharashtra played well to beat Cufi Salvador
of Spain. Shrishti Shetty (5) posted a smooth victory
taking advantage of her opponent Gomes Jacinto's mistake
early in the opening. Pallabi Roy (5) of Kolkata agreed
to a quick draw in a Centre Counter Opening with Black
pieces against Ricardo Alfonso of Spain.
K. Priyadarshan (7) of Madurai played an excellent game
to draw with GM De La Vila Garcia of Spain with White
pieces in a Sicilian Defence. Rakesh Kulkarni (6.5) of
Mumbai played brilliantly to outplay IM Vila Gazquez
Xavier with White pieces in Queen's Gambit Accepted
Opening. Rakesh won his opponent's Queen for his Rook on
25th move in a tactical skirmish.
Another Mumbaite Aditya Udeshi (6) lost a marathon game
after a prolonged fight with Black pieces against IM
Peterson Nicolai of Denmark. 12 years old Girish Kaushik
(6) drew with Dominguez Bujeda of Spain. Deepthamesh
Reddy (6) posted a smooth victory over Montiel Miguelez
of Spain.

all the rating tournaments should be registered 30 days in
advance. We therefore request all the organizers / State chess
associations to send their Bidform along with prescribed fee to
organize any FIDE rating events, 45 days in advance to All India
Chess Federation for onward submission to FIDE and enable us to
allot the FIDE / AICF event code for the event. Download the Bidform
