end of the 8th round of the Dieren open being held here.
Indian IM Lalith Babu came back into the reckoning with
his 4th consecutive win to be in joint 3rd point
position with 6 points.
Overnight joint leader GM Anish Giri suffered his first
loss of the tournament at the hands of FM Miedema Roi
(2432) and helped Erwin L’Ami to enjoy his sole lead
over GM Jan Timman and Miedema Roi by half a point.
IM Adhiban was held to a second consecutive draw by IM
Hoeksema Erik to remain on 5 points.
In the final round Lalith Babu is playing with white
pieces against GM Anish Giri in a decisive game of the
tournament as far as the Indian contingent goes.

advance. We therefore request all the organizers / State chess
associations to send their Bidform along with prescribed fee to
organize any FIDE rating events, 45 days in advance to All India
Chess Federation for onward submission to FIDE and enable us to
