GM Alon Greenfeld of Israel conducts a 7 day
Chess coaching camp at Jalandhar, Punjab

Venue of the Coaching Camp- Mayor World
School, Jalandhar
Punjab State Chess Association(PSCA) organized a 7 day coaching
camp for top players of Punjab from 24th March to 30th March
2009 at Mayor World School, Jalandhar. World renowned GM Alon
Greenfeld of Israel conducted this camp which was hosted by
Jalandhar Chess Association.
GM Alon Greenfeld imparted intensive training on innovative
thinking techniques and chess psychology to top 14 players of
Punjab. Following players participated in the camp:
Ram Parkash , Arvinderpreet Singh, Vikas Sharma, Manbhar Verma
(All from Ludhiana)
FM Ashwani Tiwari , Aakarshan Gupta, Sapan Bedi, Bharat Bhushan(
All from Jalandhar)
Vivek Astir, Pradeep Arora, Gurpreet Singh ( All from Amritsar)
Chetal Bansal ( Moga), Akshay Anand ( Rajpura) , Manit Dhir (
Patiala)
Punjab State Chess Association has adopted a two pronged
strategy of facilitating world class coaching for top Punjab
players and also considers providing the necessary coaching to
Sub junior and Junior players of Punjab under the AICF’s
coaching and development program. President S. Narinder Singh
and Secretary Dr. JS Cheema of PSCA spearheaded this coaching
camp initiative which was ably supported by top Punjab players.
Mr. Rajinder Sharma, Secretary, Jalandhar Chess Association
ensured that the training venue and players hospitality were
ably taken care of.
