More From Psakhis
By Arvind Aaron
Training camps are essential as team members should know each other
better. I have some material and want them to analyse that with the five
boys, said Psakhis.
About India, Psakhis we have many strong players that we took 1-2 in the
World Junior. About the World Junior Champions, Psakhis said, Harika was
clearly stronger and only had to prove it while Abhijeet won the last five
games. "You cant win the World Junior if you are not good," said Psakhis.
Comaring nations he said, "India is already a top nation and in four years
time we will equal Russia in terms of quality of play at the top. About
what was new in the camp, Psakhis said, "my duty is to push them to
think."
On the composition of the team, Psakhis said, the team is balanced and the
strategy is simple. The boys must play well. "We can make them (Indians)
play well. Yet others might win because they can play better! Placings and
victory are not from the coaches."
