Lodging:
Free lodging will be provided from 06.06.08 to 14.06.08 to selected
players and one accompanying official nominated by the concerned state
chess association of each state. All others will have to make their own
arrangements for their stay.

ELIGIBILITY:
a) Four
players from every affiliated unit and every institutional members of the
AICF. If any association fails to send its full quota, the vacancies so
caused shall not be filled.
b) The
top four players from 34th national women’s “B” chess
championship held at
Hyderabad.
c) The
top two rankers from 22nd National Junior Girls, Championship
held at
Nagpur
d) The
champion of the 18th national under – 17 chess championship for
girls held at Puri.
e)
The Host association is entitled to field two additional players.
f)
Current world champion in any category
g)
Top three from the current Asian Women Championship
h)
Current Asian Junior Girls champion
i)
A nominee of the Secretary, All India Chess Federation.
j) Any
player who remits the special entry fee of Rs. 2400/-
k) Four
players from areas where no State Chess Association exists. Aspiring
players may request in writing to the Hon. Secretary All India Chess
Federation
l) One
additional player nominated by the Host Sate Association, in the event of
the entries being an old number.

All entries should be routed through respective State associations.
There will be 50% concession in entry fee for participants from North
Eastern States and Andaman and NICO bar.

Late Fee:
A late fee of Rs.250/- will be collected on all entries received from
24.5.2008 to
05.06.2008. No entry will be entertained after 05.06.2008
Tournament Regulations:
The championship shall be played under the FIDE laws of “Chess and FIDE
Swiss Rules”. Totally eleven rounds shall be played unless otherwise
decided by the Tournament Committee before the commencement of the
championship.
Time Control:
The time control is 90 minutes for each player for the first 40 moves each
followed by 30 minutes each for the rest of the game with an increment of
30 seconds per move from move one.
SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED INSIDE THE CAMPUS.
Chess Clocks:
Each participating Association must provide at least two DGT chess clocks
in working order for every four players entered by them in championship.
Tie-Break:
Latest tie breaking rules will be applied.
Tournament Committee:
A Tournament Committee consisting of the Chief Arbiter, Hon. Secretary of
AICF or his representative, and the Secretary and two members of the host
association shall be constituted before the commencement of the
tournament.
Protests:
Protests, if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter, shall be made
in writing with protest feeRs.500/- within 30 minutes of the occurrence of
the incident. The amount shall be refunded if the appeal is upheld.
Players’ Registration with AICF compulsory:
All the participants of this 35th National Women “B” chess
championship must be registered with AICF. The AICF players’ registration
fee is Rs. 250/-. The AICF players’ registration form will be made
available at the venue. Those who are already registered with AICF must
show proof thereof.
Appeals Committee:
Before the commencement of the championship a five member committee of
appeal with two reserves shall be formed from amongst the senior
participants and officials present at the Managers’ meeting to be held at
the venue on the inaugural day. All the five members and reserves shall be
from different States. No member of the committee can vote on a dispute in
which a player from his own unit is involved and in the committee.
Disqualification:
No participant will leave the venue before the prize distribution function
without the permission of the Chief Arbiter. The participants disregarding
this rule will be suspended for one year.
Interpretation:
For interpretation of rules and deciding any point not covered by rules,
the decision of the Tournament Committee shall be final and binding. The
Tournament Committee has every right to make any addition or amendment to
these rules without prior notice. However, such changes will be displayed
at the championship venue.
