Congratulations - Grand Master Vishy Anand
Grand Master Viswanathan Anand was honored with the degree of a Doctor of
Literature ( honoris causa ) by the Tamil Nadu Physical Education and
Sports University at Chennai on 17.03.2008.
During the first convocation of the University, this honor was conferred
on him. Tamilnadu Governor and Chancellor Mr.S.S.Barnala gave the award to
the parents of Anand Mr.Viswanathan and Mrs.Susheela Viswanathan. Grand
Master Anand is presently participating in the Amber chess Tournament at
