India Take 1-2-3 In Lanka Open

India recorded a fantastic score when IM Dinesh Kumar Sharma of LIC, won
the Mora Kings International Rating Chess Tournament at Sri Lanka.
Sharma beat Akshat Kamparia in the final round for the title, a gold medal
and Rs.40,000 cash prize. The tournament was conducted by the University
of Moratuwa at the Library from Aug 23-29 in Sri Lanka.
Dinesh Kumar Sharma scored 8/9 to win the event. Eight players tied for
the second place on seven points. Top seed IM P. Karthikeyan of Chennai
took second place and Kamparia took third. A tital of 160 players took
part.
