Laptop, Digital Clocks Gifted

will emerge as the major chess centre in Goa after Vasco and Bambolim,
observed chief guest Dr Peter Carvalho, the founder of the Cortalim Chess
Club.
Speaking at the prize giving ceremony of the State Sub-Junior at Sarvodya
High School, Curchorem, Goa recently, Dr Carvalho said hard work and
discipline was required in running a full fledged academy and that it was
also a time consuming process.
At this ceremony, Mata Mamata Sukhdata Pratishan donated a laptop computer
and digital chess clocks to the Academy. GSCA President Sameer Salgaocar
and GSCA Secretary Suhas Asnodkar were also present.
During the function, SAG Coach Sanjay Kavlekar received the laptop from
GSCA Vice President M.R. Naik.
