Tamil Nadu Celebrates 61st Anniversary

The Tamil Nadu State Chess Association celebrated its 61st year of existence with plenty of chess activity at the Hall of Chess in the Nehru Stadium, Chennai on April 26.

Grand Master Krishnan Sasikiran of ONGC and his wife Radhika were present. GM R.B. Ramesh of Indian Oil gave a lecture. International Master M.R. Venkatesh of Bharat Petroleum replaced IM V. Saravanan.

Tamil Nadu Chess Association with P.R. Venketramaraja as President and IM Manuel Aaron as General Secretary have made it the most active of associations.
