Woman Grand Master Tania Sachdev of Delhi won her seventh round game against Atousha Pourkashiyan of Iran to be among the five leaders on 5/7 in the Asian Women's Championship at Tehran on Sep 9.

Along with Tania in the lead are two Chinese, Ruan Lufei, Huang Qian and two Vietnamese Nguyen Thi Thanh An and Le Thanh Tu.

Tied for the second spot on 4.5 points is WGM Nisha Mohota. Aarthie Ramaswamy is on four points. Overall, Indians broke event, two wins, two losses and two draws.

Three of India's leading players in the World Top 20, Koneru Humpy, Dronavalli Harika and S.Vijayalakshmi are not competing here. WIM Anupama Gokhale of Mumbai has accompanied our Indian team as coach.

The results (round seven): Ruan Lufei (Chn) drew Nguyen Thi Thanh An (Vie), Huang Qian (Chn) drew Ju Wenjun (Chn), Tania Sachdev (Ind) bt Atousha Pourkashiyan (Iri), Aarthie Ramaswamy (Ind) drew Eesha Karavade (Ind), Nisha Mohota (Ind) bt Le Kieu Thien Kim (Vie), Zhang Jilin (Chn) bt Swati Ghate (Ind), Amruta Mokal (Ind) lost to Ghazal Hakimfard (Iri).
