The Tamil Nadu State Chess Association will honour their commitment to
organise the postponed National A. The Central Council decided that if the
players are not happy with the accommodation provided by the organizers,
they can make their own arrangement. The AICF was fully satisfied with the
Tamil Nadu State Chess Association’s handling of the National “A”
It was also noted that the alternate arrangement offered by the organizers
- the hotel opposite the venue, was inspected by Mr.P.R.Venketrama Raja,
President of TNSCA and Mr.R.M.Dongre, Vice President, AICF and they found
it fully satisfactory. The AICF President will also nominate persons to
inspect the lodge and to make an independent assessment. .

Y.V.K.Chakravarthy of Andhra Pradesh has been expelled from all activities
of the AICF for giving false official date of birth by decreasing it by
three years.
The AICF meeting with the President N.Srinivasan in chair also decided on
various other matters. The AICF decided with a "yes" to have foreign
coaches. Sundar spoke of the need to have arbiter clinics to update them
with the latest changes required to comply with FIDE's new regulations.

Indian players who are seeded for world age group events can now be called
for medical tests if necessary. For donor entries to International
events the existing, Regulations that only top 10 can play is withdrawn.
All other Rules remain the same.
The All
India Chess Federation has moved to a new spacious office within the same
Stadium. The members of the AICF visited the office which also has a place
for ten players to train at the same time. The new address: AICF, Room 70,
