Adly Ahmed, Nebolsina Triumph At Yerevan

GM Adly Ahmed of Egypt won the World Junior with  an all decisive 10/13 score at Yerevan, the capital of Armenia on Oct 16.  Nebolsina Vera won the Girls section with 10/13 losing one game to second placed Polish girl and  drawing Harika.

Three successive defeats in the last three rounds spoilt her party as  well as dashed India's hopes.

Boys: 1 GM Adly Ahmed (Egy) 10/13, 2 GM IvanPopov (Rus) 9.5, 3-4 GM Wang Hao (Chn), GM Dmitry Andreikin (Rus) 9 each, 8 GM P.Negi 8.5,  13 IM Abhijeet Gupta 8, 18 IM G.N.Gopal 7.5, 21 -22 Ashwin Jayaram, GM Deepan Chakkaravarthy 7.5 each, 30 IM Gogineni Rohit 7, 56 Arun Karthik 6,  63 Abhishek Das 5.5...80 players.
