MEMORANDUM From: FIDE Medical Commission - To: National Federations and
Competitors :
The Medical Commission advises all National Federations applying Doping
Control at national events to request that players with medical conditions
requiring medication complete a Therapeutic Use Exemption(TUE) form,
available on WADA website (www.wada-ama.org) and forward a copy of the
form to FIDE fort he Medical Commission to hold on file. All TUEs should
be reviewed annually, or more often following any change of medication.
Please note that it is necessary to submit the Standard TUE form (goto:‘Standard
TUE Application Template’ on WADA website *The Abbreviated TUE (ATUE) can
be used for inhaled beta-2 agonistsand glucocortosteroids only. --
