Sub: - Change of dates / schedule of National Under - 17 Chess Championship at Puri, Orissa.

This is to inform our members and players that there is a slight change from the present dates ( 22nd to 28th June 2007) in the schedule of the National Under 17 Chess Championship to be organized by Puri District Chess Association, Orissa. This change is necessitated due to the fact that the Asian Chess Championship for youth (Under 16 & 18) begins at Uzbekistan from 28th June, 2007 and some of our players have to represent the Country. The National ‘B’ is ending on 20th June 2007 at Dindigul.

Hence taking all this into consideration and in consultation with the organizers of Under – 17 National, it has now been decided to have the following schedule which kindly note.

Players Meeting - 22.06.2007 2.00 PM

Inauguration - 22.06.2007 2.30 PM

1st Round - 22.06.2007 4.00 PM

2nd Round - 23.06.2007 9.00 AM

3rd Round - 23.06.2007 3.00 PM

4th Round - 24.06.2007 9.00 AM

5th Round - 24.06.2007 3.00 PM

6th Round - 25.06.2007 9.00 AM

7th Round - 25.06.2007 3.00 PM

8th Round - 26.06.2007 9.00 AM

Closing Ceremony 26.06.2007 3.00 PM

Note: Those participating in National B at Dindugul and desirous of participating in the National Under 17 at Puri are advised to book the Coromandel Express starting from Chennai on at 9 AM on 21st June 2007. They should get down at Bhuvaneswar or Khurda Road Station to proceed to Puri.
