Seventy-One Indians At Batumi!

By Arvind Aaron

India outnumbered all the visiting nations by fielding 78 entries in the World Youth Chess Championship that is starting today at Batumi in Georgia.

Only the hosts, Georgia have more entries than India. They have fielded 101 entries. The official website
excludes Russia from the participating nations. That means, more Indians will have title chances in most of the sections. There are eleven rounds like in the previous years.
