Grover is on full seven points and could go all the way in the same steam till the eleventh and final round.

In the second place is Vian D'Cunha of Karnataka who is on 6.5 points after punishing Dheeraj Kumar's poor opening. Vian won two pawns with white and grinded a win over the Andhra player in 57 moves.

The third position in the boys group is crowded with five players on six points. Fenil Shah of Gujarat beat Vaibhav Suri of Delhi after king hunt that lasted 31 moves. He was threatening a deadly double check mate when Suri resigned. Srinidhi Nagarajan

Tamil Nadu's Srinidhi Nagarajan brought life into the girls section by beating overnight leader Priyanka Kumari of Jharkhand with an easy to spot combination on the 15th turn. This discovered double attack on the queen gave Srinidhi an exchange and later it became a full rook when the Jharkhand girl resigned on the 26th
move.

Srinidhi and Priyanka Kumari are in joint lead with six points from seven rounds. Michelle Catherina, Dharani Sree and J.Vaishnavi (TN) and Mahaswetha (Ass)
are in the joint third place with 5.5 points.

Mahaswetha of Assan won a pawn but lacked the courage to take that risk in the minor piece ending and she took a draw against Michelle Catherina.

Four rounds are still to go and the closing ceremony will be on Nov 11 at 4 p.m.
