AICF Training Camp Begins At Chennai

The AICF run Central Government approved training camp under former Soviet GM Lev Psakhis who now lives near Tel Aviv in Israel is on at the TNCA Chambers in the M.A.Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, Chennai.

The ten day camp will be for Grand Masters Krishnan Sasikiran of Chennai, P.Harikrishna of Hyderabad and Koneru Humpy of Vijayawada as they depart for the
Asian Games in Doha from December 1. It may be mentioned that chess is part of the Asian Games for the first time.

Grand Master Lev Psakhis who had worked as trainer for Indian players before does not eat non-vegetarian food. The humble grandmaster who started his early life in the Siberian side of Russia is a professional chess trainer.

The new Indian coach Lev Psakhis and Krishnan Sasikiran were given a reception by AICF Secretary D.V.Sundar at the TNCA Club in Chennai on November 18. Others who attended the reception were IM Manuel Aaron, GM R.B.Ramesh and WGM Aarthie Ramesh.
